The Montefiore Hospital

Part of the Spire Healthcare group of private hospitals, we were commissioned to develop the name and branding for the new hospital. Based in a residential area and in a landmark building, making it part of the community was a priority.

The name ‘Montefiore’ is synonymous with the area so was already familiar to the residents. The shape of the logo was influenced by the crocuses that famously grow in the gardens opposite the hospital, using another local familiarity.

Working collaboratively with the architects and interior designers we developed the brand further in the designing of external and internal signage systems, reflecting shapes and colours of the logo and interior schemes throughout. The hospital branding expanded into print and digital material including their website, patient brochures and folders, event promotional material, and national and local advertising campaigns that all formed part of the brand development.

The website was designed and developed as key part of communication as it is very often the first point of contact for a patient with the hospital and their consultant. The site offers detailed information about consultants, services and treatments.

As the hospital continues to evolve so does the brand through numerous internal patient and staff campaigns.
